Infrastructure sector is a key driver for the Indian economy and is poised to play a central role in propelling India’s overall development, especially post COVID. The Government of India has laid intense focus on the sector by adopting policies that would enable time-bound creation of world-class infrastructure in the country – particularly through the announcement of National Infrastructure Pipeline. India continues being a lucrative investment destination as the government takes steps to drive ease of doing business. Industry is also now actively working towards making India self-sufficient and to further the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Financing, an ever so critical element in infrastructure, will become even more crucial as the government looks to provide an impetus to the sector.
