The stage is set for India to enter a novel era in Education with a new National Education Policy (NEP) which was announced by the government of India in 2020.
India has the world’s third largest education system. The number of students in India, school and higher education put together, equals the population of the US. There are approximately 1000 universities and 40,000 colleges and about 37 million students enrolled in higher education alone. As a market, therefore, there are several benefits that India offers to the world in the education sector. Our world class higher education institutes are capable of providing high quality education equivalent to global standards and are house to cutting edge research.
It is imperative for India to forge meaningful collaborations with global organisations in both academic aspects and business terms. Indian education sector has become increasing ‘outward looking’ in its approach. With our eyes set at a new horizon and our arms open to the world, the Indian education sector is looking forward to creating deep partnerships with global institutes and technology & education service providers.
