The business fraternity of any state holds the key to its economic growth. The various industries contribute towards the development and eventually help in the revival of the state economic condition. This year, it became all the more important to do so, with the COVID-19 pandemic looming large; the entrepreneurship businesses and Start ups contributed significantly towards the revival of economic growth. They did not let the adverse situation affect their services to the consumers. Every day they are coming up with newer ideas and innovations to help and benefit the society at large and make life safer and more comfortable during these trying times.

The state of West Bengal is at the crossroads of an exciting and challenging period in its history. As a multitude of avenues for growth and development emerge, it’s of paramount importance that the state, as a collective identity, embark on a vibrant journey to realize dreams of a better future. The State is determined to eliminate systemic bottlenecks in the process of Industrialization and has kept role of Entrepreneurs as one of the key objectives for overall economic development.

As we step in 2021, CII West Bengal is taking an initiative to discover the leaders from various sectors in the State who have immensely contributed towards the development of the region and West Bengal in particular.

Coinciding with West Bengal Annual Day 2021, CII is organizing a conference on West Bengal – Poised to Lead: Embracing Growth through Entrepreneurial Leadership, a platform designed to restore, rethink and reconfigure overall growth between all the stakeholders of the state of West Bengal on 27 February 2021 through CII HIVE Platform.
