ABOUT EVENT

India, the world’s second most populous country and one of the fastest growing economies faces inimitable challenges and unparalleled prospects in the health sector. We have a world-class and one of the fastest growing pharma and biotech industry, with top-notch scientists, doctors and hospitals leading the way. However, India continues to face huge health challenges in both Communicable, and Non-Communicable Diseases. Our current situation has been exacerbated by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis which has put a significant pressure on healthcare delivery across the world and in India.

The journey towards “Health for All” is still a work in progress and the goal, far from achieved. Ayushman Bharat has played an important role but Universal Health cover remains a dream.

To create unique multi sectoral responses to the healthcare ecosystem within a complex environment, CII’s 14th Health Insurance Summit 2020 is being organized with the theme ‘Making Health For All a reality’ on 15 October 2020. It will look to develop cohesive industry engagement with core cross sectoral policy, dialogues and strategic exchanges enabled through high profile plenary sessions, bespoke B2Bs, Industry delegations, disruptor talks as well as an exhibition of the latest technologies disrupting the health insurance sector.

This year keeping with the Government advisories, CII will host the 14th Health Insurance Summit on a Digital Platform, where participants will set up their company stalls and attend B2B events and conferences from the comfort of their homes/ offices.  A one of its kind initiative with influential voices and experts from both within and outside the sector. It will see a global conglomeration of Industry experts, senior policy makers, ministers, decision makers, and multiple stakeholders including innovators who can imagine a more equitable and healthy world.

It is also a time when we must talk with leaders and captains of Industry about raising the standards of Care, how can we work together and move cohesively towards making quality care affordable to everyone. The Insurance industry cannot do this alone, it will need the support and agreement of the providers as well as producers of advanced health technologies. It is a time when we must step up our act to make Health For All a reality in India.
