Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Council of Leather Exports is organising a two-day  Leather & Footwear Buyer-Seller Meet 2020 by presenting a Digital Exhibition, Conference and B2B forum from 15-16 June 2020. Indian leather and leather products will be on display including footwear, garments, leather goods and accessories, gloves, etc for the buyers, importers, brands, wholesalers and Retailers from Russia.

The objective of the Buyer-Seller Meet is to help the Indian Footwear & Leather industry mitigate the risk of lockdown due to spread of COVID 19 by identifying new business avenues and global market penetration strategies in the Sector. Russia is the 13th largest global importer of leather, leather products and footwear whereas India’s export share to the country is less than 1 per cent. This presents huge export opportunities for domestic players in the Russian market and this forum will play a crucial role in facilitating penetrating the Russian market further and achieving our envisaged export growth levels in the coming years.

The two-day digital BSM will have 25 exclusive participating Indian manufacturers and exporters of leather and leather products, who will be displaying their latest product designs, collections of footwear, leather garments, leather goods and accessories, leather gloves, saddlery and harnesses, while holding B2B meetings with potential Russian buyers, importers, brands, wholesalers, and retail stores. It will provide unique opportunity to major overseas buyers to interact with Indian manufacturers for sourcing their product requirements from India and showcase India’s capabilities as a supplier of steady and sustainable low cost international quality products to the country .
